The Supreme Court of India has dismissed the complaint made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy against sitting Supreme Court judge, Justice NV Ramana in connection with the Amaravati land scam.
According to a statement released by the Supreme Court, an in-house procedure was followed to look into the allegations made by Reddy and the complaint was dismissed after due consideration.
All matters dealt with under the in-house procedure being strictly confidential in nature, are not liable to be made public.
Reddy had written to Chief Justice of India SA Bobde on October 6 making certain allegations against Justice Ramana. Subsequently, Reddy made these allegations on affidavit before the top court. CJI Bobde on Tuesday recommended the name of Justice Ramana to take over as his successor after his retirement on April 23, 2021 while also rejecting the letter complaint by Reddy against the sitting judge.
