Delhi, national capital has again witnessed lack of vaccination of Covid-19. Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia tweeted "Vaccines have run out in Delhi again"
Some vaccination centers are likely to be closed soon said the officials, whereas government vaccination centers in the city were closed on Sunday itself in view of limited availability. Private center runs as usual with proper planning.
According to the report Delhi had 19,000 doses of Covishield and 2,39,000 doses of Covaxin.
On Monday total 36.238 vaccine doses were administered, taking 89,37,904 jabs are given so far.
Delhi has suspended inoculation of 18-44 age group at government centers, Meerut district immunization officer Praveen Gautam said 70% of second dose slots for vaccinations in district had been booked by people from Delhi.
In that Covaxin is on demand because, it's second dose is take within 4 to 6 weeks whereas Covishield second dose is given after 12 weeks of first one. There is massive shortage of vaccines, campaign in Gurgaon, Haryana has slowed down since last week.
Sputnik has also launched on Saturday, not administered till. Gurgaon civil surgeon Dr. Virender Yadav said, stock will be accumulated and proper plan will be made for vaccine campaign in coming days, 50 slots will be available for the first dose of Sputnik V vaccine by next one or two days. Second dose of vaccine will be made available at 25 out of 26 government sites with 100 slots available at each center respectively.
