PLEA IN SUPREME COURT SEEKS CBI REPORT IN TWO MONTHS

    in News Updates

A petition is filed in the Apex court stating that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has acted "irresponsibly" in the investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, a plea has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking directions for the probe to be completed within two months.

The petition alleges that the CBI is "not acting in a responsible manner in the present case and there is a delay in the conclusion of the investigation of the case". The petitioner has thus urged the Supreme Court to intervene in the present case, and direct the CBI to submit a status report on the progress of the investigation and to complete its investigation within a period of two months.
