About 12 lakh folks from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and other states flocked to Haridwar for a bath on Friday. The covid-19 protocol was brazenly flouted by participants in the present Kumbh Mela in Haridwar. The state administration stated that it is doing its best, but that there are constraints in dealing with such big crowds, and that maintaining social separation is difficult.
After the Mahakumbh, when over 90 lakh people arrived, this was the highest number of individuals who visited Haridwar. "Extensive security, traffic, and pilgrim management procedures were implemented," according to SSP.
