SUPREME COURT DISPOSES OFF THE PLEA FOR CANCELLATION OF CLASS XII BOARD EXAMS AS AP GOVT. INFORMS IT'S DECISION TO CANCEL EXAM
The State of Andhra Pradesh has on Friday informed the Supreme Court that it has determined to cancel the Class XII State Board Exams after re-analyzing the scenario.
Supreme Court after taking on report the submission made by Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave performing for the State of Andhra Pradesh, disposed of the plea seeking cancellation of Class XII State Board Exams.
The Bench has reiterated it's in advance course that States are required to declare internal evaluation results on or before july 31st as directed to CBSE and ICSE.
"Senior Counsel Dushyant Dave for State of Andhra Pradesh has informed the Court that after reexamining the scenario, the State government has now been well suggested to cancel 12th standard exams to be carried out by the concerned State Board. We place that Statement on record. Nothing more is needed to be carried out in the present proceeding. We reiterate the directions given on earlier occasion to all state boards that internal assessment results are declared on or before july 31st as directed in CBSE and ICSE." the Bench stated
The Bench further mentioned that since respective States have decided to cancel exam the Court doesn't want to observe another issue in the present writ petition or accomplice intervention applications.
The instructions have been issued after Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave informed the Court that thinking about the problem and manner it has stepped forward before the top court, although arrangements for examination were made by the State, State has decided to cancel the examination.

"How are you going to arrange for over 28,000 rooms with 15 students per hall? Have you a formula for that? You would require over 35,000 rooms if it is 15 students per hall? Do you have so many rooms?", Justice Khanwilkar asked.
