In low-performing districts, the Centre is conducting a door-to-door Covid vaccination campaign.

On the occasion of Dhanwantri Jayanti on November 2, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya advised that states/UTs launch the campaign.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Wednesday that the 'Har Ghar Dastak' campaign, which would provide door-to-door COVID-19 immunisation in low-performing areas over the next month, will inspire and motivate people to get fully vaccinated against the deadly infection.

Around 48 districts have been identified as having less than 50% first-dose coverage among eligible beneficiaries. The health minister further stated that ample vaccine doses are available in the country and that the states/UTs have more than 12 crores of balanced unverified doses to administer.
