The Agriculture Ministry informed that India exported agricultural commodities worth Rs 2.74 lakh crore where it was Rs 2.31 lakh crore in the previous fiscal year which is an increase of 16.88%. At the same time, imports also increased by 3% to Rs 1,41,034 lakh crore from Rs 1,37,014 lakh crore.
The Agriculture Minister informed that India maintained the supply of food in other countries despite the pandemic and has improved the trade balance. India also has captured new markets in Togo, Senegal, Malaysia, Madagascar, Iraq, Bangladesh, Mozambique, Vietnam, Tanzania, and Madagascar.
