The Delhi Government on Wednesday announced the weekend curfew. Delhi on Wednesday saw the highest number of cases, more than 17,000, in a day since the pandemic started.
Arvind Kejriwal informed during the press briefing that restriction on the movement of the general public is necessary for stopping the surge in Corona cases due to the second wave. Necessary services are not restricted.
For the continuance of marriages in the weekend days, e-passes will be provided which have been planned by the government. Restaurants will not be allowed to provide dining facility but home delivery. Cinema theatres will be operational with a 30% capacity whereas auditoriums, gyms, spas will be remained off. Weekend markets will also be regulated. He also informed that there is no shortage of bed in hospitals for COVID-19 patients.
