The Bar Council of India has decided to postpone the date of the All India Bar Examination (AIBE). Now, the Exam will be conducted on Sunday (April 25, 2021).
Earlier, the AIBE exam was scheduled to be conducted on March 21.
Along with postponing the exam date, BCI has also extended the AIBE registration and application dates. Candidates can now register for AIBE XVI 2021 exam latest by March 22. However, the registered candidates can complete their AIBE application form latest by March 31.
Online payments for application will remain open until 26th March, 2021.
Admit cards will be released on 10th April, 2021.
Now, it has been informed to all the candidates appearing for AIBE-XVI that the date for registration and last date of payment has been extended.
AIBE is an exam conducted twice every year which a lawyer needs to pass before being admitted to the bar and is essential for law practice everywhere.
The Bar Council of India has recently decided that All India Bar Examination-XVI (AIBE-XVI) onwards, no books, notes, or study material will be allowed in the Examination Hall. However, the Candidates would be allowed to carry Bare Acts without notes.
The Notification states,
"This is to notify that All India Bar Examination-XVI (AIBE-XVI) onwards, no books, notes, or study material will be allowed in the Examination Hall. Candidates can carry bare acts without notes."
The abovementioned dates are subject to modifications, if any, as may be notified by the BCI in case of unavoidable circumstances.
