On 19th April, at night, a green corridor was created by the Delhi police to enable the fast transport of the oxygen cylinder to various hospitals in the city it also included Shri balaji action hospital where the need of oxygen was reached to a critical point.
The Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that Delhi was facing huge shortage of Oxygen, and this is due to the disbursement in the supply of oxygen because of farmers protest in and around the city. But the AAP government is also supporting the protest.
A corridor was created by the police to pass the to oxygen tankers carrying 19,500 litres of oxygen liquid from UP and Haryana borders. But they stalked at the borders due to the traffic jam.
And this was revealed in the letter written by the suppliers. As the said the tankers was termed due to the farmers protest on the border point.
The letter was sent by Inox Air products which supplied oxygen to the central government that they are facing blockages while transporting oxygen from Rajasthan and UP to Delhi. In the letter they also mention that the supply of oxygen to Sri balaji action medical institute was delayed by 2 hours due to the blockage of NH24 on the Delhi-UP border at Ghazipur by the farmers and their vehicles had to travel 100 kilometres more to reach the hospital.
The further added that the company has been asked to lift liquid oxygen from India all corporations by the union government but that supply will also be hampered due to the blockage at Singhu border by the farmers.
So, the company has requested the Union government to extend the support for making the green corridor which will help in movement of the tankers and oxygen carrier trucks.
