On Wednesday, nominations for the second phase of panchayat elections will begin. The preparations of the nomination process are completed by the administration. A new facility is provided in the present nominations. This new facility is that this time the nominations are to be conducted under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. But the Candidates must follow the Covid-19 protocol. Mask would be mandatory for everyone. No one will be allowed to enter the enrolment premises without it. The candidate will be allowed to move to the enrollment counter only after checking the infrared thermometer and pulse oximeter. Any kind of procession would be completely banned during the enrolment process. Separate counters have been provided on all eight blocks for the ingress of Pradhan, Panch (Gram Panchayat members), and BDC. But the District Panchayat Member (DDC) nomination will be done at the District Panchayat office at Qaiserbagh. 15 to 29 counters have been created at the blocks, which are barricaded, for the nomination process. In Mohanlalganj block, 14 counters of Pradhan and Panch and 12 total of BDC 26, 11-11 in Malihabad, and 17 and 12 total of 29 counters in BKT are made. Also, a Covid-19 helpdesk has been established at eight blocks and District Panchayat Office. ANM and ASHA workers have been deployed here. Deputy District Election Officer ADM (FR) Bipin Mishra said that “the candidates are going to be screened for nomination through an infrared thermometer and pulse oximeter at the assistance desk. Only then does anyone get admission to the campus. Those whose temperature is high will not be allowed to enter the campus. Everyone has got to get their hands sanitized at the doorway. Candidates who will be coming for nomination will have to fully follow social distancing. No one is going to be allowed inside the nomination site without a mask. During the nomination, candidates, proposers, and assistants will all have to wear masks. All the vehicles will need to be parked a minimum of 2 hundred meters far away from the nomination site. Barricading has been done to make sure that the vehicle doesn't enter the premises. SDM and ACM and CO and ACP are deployed on all the blocks. City magistrates are going to be posted within the district panchayat.CCTV cameras are installed from all the gates of the nomination venue to the nomination counter. Five to eight cameras are installed in the blocks. CCTV cameras have been installed at all locations within the entrance gate, outside the entrance, gallery, and nomination counter. The control room has been made in BDO’s room. For the nomination of 25 wards of the District Panchayat, ve counters have been set up in the meeting hall of the District Panchayat Office at Qaiserbagh. Candidates of ve-ve wards will be able to le the form at each counter. RO and ADM (LA) Ram Araj of District Panchayat informed that nominations are going to be done from 8 am to five pm. A candidate can be nominated in a maximum of four sets. Any kind of procession or rally is banned”
