A Circular of the Supreme Court states that there shall be no unauthorized sharing of links by Advocates and/or parties-in-person without the permission of the Court for hearing of matter through video conferencing.
The circular has been published after it has been observed that the Advocates-on-Records are sharing the links, provided to them for video conferencing, with more than two advocates to appear before the Court during the course of proceeding. The circular further states that such sharing of Video-Conferencing links or sharing of screen, being violative of the Standard Operating Procedure, 2020, is unauthorised, and creates deterrence in the proceedings of the Court.
